Topro Energy bolusThe Topro Energy bolus is a mineral diet feed for dairy cows in the form of a bolus for oral administration, to reduce the risk of chronic milk fever (Ketosis). It is a common condition in dairy cattle: ketosis, also called chronic milk fever. Research has shown that in the first 2 months after calving, more than one in ten cows suffers from it (Livestock February 2, 2012). The percentage of cows suffering from subclinical ketosis is even higher. Ketosis is the result of a negative energy balance. This occurs because, after calving, the cow begins to produce large amounts of milk and thus requires more energy than it can produce. Topro Energy bolus is quickly dissolving and is administered to dairy cows after calving and during the start of milk production.
