Preventive maintenance prevents your milking robot from coming to a standstill.
No high service bill by carrying out the maintenance yourself.
📊 Practical reference: ordering wear parts yourself usually costs around € 1.500 – 2.800 per robot per year. Including a dealer contract, it's more likely to be € 4.000 – 8.000+. The biggest cost factors: number of milkings per day (cows × milking frequency), type of liner (rubber or silicone), original or alternative part (a difference of 30 – 50%), and the age/model of the robot.
For each part, we calculate using the average annual cost based on replacement interval and price. Liners and filters are the largest cost items and scale almost linearly with the number of milkings. This amount is scaled according to the model (VMS Classic − 10%, V310 + 10%), usage intensity (number of cows and milking frequency) and the age of the robot (younger than 2 years − 10%, older than 5 years + 15%). Service contract indication: wear parts + an average 80% surcharge for labour and call-out costs.

Yes. Many wear parts, such as liners, hoses, filters and brushes, are easy to replace yourself using our drawings and videos.
The lifespan depends on the type of liner and the number of milkings. Most liners last approximately 2.500 to 3.000 milkings. With an average of 55 cows and 2.7 milkings per cow per day, this works out to roughly 17 to 20 days. After that, it is time to replace the liners.
