ColoDan Feed

ColoDan Feed is a complementary feed based on 99% dried colostrum powder. The product has been developed for newborn lambs and kid goats as a supplement to or replacement of colostrum in the first days of life.

The colostrum powder comes from Danish IBR-free cattle farms and naturally contains immunoglobulins (IgG), proteins and fats. The colostrum is collected from the first two milkings after calving. Thanks to a mild drying process, the valuable components are well preserved.

Application

ColoDan Feed is intended for newborn lambs and kid goats, for example when insufficient colostrum is available, colostrum quality is inadequate, or when lambs are orphaned, weak or hypothermic.

Use and dosage

• Mixing ratio: 50 grams of ColoDan Feed with 150 ml warm water
• Water temperature: maximum 50 °C when mixing
• Time of administration: as soon as possible after birth, preferably within 2 hours
• Dosage on the first day: give the same amount 3 more times in addition to the first feeding
• Recommended drinking temperature: 37–40 °C
