Aggers Rumen Pump Professional complete

By using the complete rumen pump set, you can easily deliver a significant amount of water with possible minerals to the cow Administer. By filling the rumen with water immediately after calving, many problems can be prevented, such as displaced abomasum. The rumen pump consists of high-quality stainless steel, a probe with a nose clamp, and a special high-quality reinforced Tubes. The probe is easy to insert and can be secured using the nose clamp.

Instructions

For use only by qualified personnel.

Flushing the probe: Before first use, flush the probe of the Aggers Drench set with warm water (max. 50 C) and then attach it to the Aggers Rumen Pump.

Inserting the probe.
1. Ensure the knob at the end of the probe is placed against the bite piece, that the Tubes is secured, and that the nose clamp is open

2. Hold the corner of the mouth and insert the bite piece to the back of the tongue so that the nose ring can be secured in the nostrils.

3. Release the securing of the probe, turn the cow's head slightly to the right, and push the probe in through the bite piece until there is 1 to 1.5 meters of Tubes left. Check that the Tubes runs through the esophagus by feeling with your hand on the left side of the neck to see if the Tubes is present there.

4. The end of the probe should now be in the rumen. If you are unsure, you can disconnect the Tubes and check if you smell the rumen juices.

5. Secure the probe by turning the locking pin on the bite piece.

6. Pump with even strokes. If you are unsure whether the bolus is not in the rumen, do not use the pump.
