Frost protection optionsFrost-free with additional heating
In the heated version, model 500/520 is equipped with an additional heating (24 V, 80 W). The heating element is attached to the bottom of the drinking bowl. To keep the water supply frost-free, it is wrapped with a thermal cable (20 W, 2 m, art.-no. 101.0861 or 30 W, 3 m, art.-no. 101.1863), and connected in parallel with the additional heating to the transformer. The thermal cable and the water pipe must be additionally insulated and protected against freezing. The power supply runs via a transformer (24 V). With an outdoor thermostat (art.-no. 101.0389), the transformer can be switched on and off.
For model 500: heating element model 523 (art.-no. 131.0523), 24 V, 80 W, for keeping the water in the drinking bowl frost-free
For model 520: heating element model 524 (art.-no. 131.0524) Installation of 1 or 2 heating elements possible. Heating element with a coil 24 V, 80 W, for keeping the water in the double drinking bowl frost-free.
