Prevent problems and make sure maggots do not become flies. Maggots and flies can cause nuisance and problems at your cattle. Maggots sometimes nest on a dirty backside of a calf/sheep. To feed themselves they start eating the animal and sometimes even under the skin. This means there is a chance that your animal will get Myiasis (skin maggot disease). Maggots grow into flies that can transmit other diseases. To prevent this it is necessary to combat these animals. A powerful agent that can be used to combat maggots is Neporex. This product prevents the production of Chitin. This is what a maggot needs to molt, which they normally do 3 times. Neporex disrupts this molting process and ensures that the larva (maggot) is killed. Because a larva molts 3 times before it becomes an adult fly, you also have 3 times the chance to combat the maggots! This makes Neporex a very effective remedy.

Usage: Neporex can at various types of livestock are used, including at: chickens, turkeys, broilers, rabbits, pigs, dairy cattle, calves and beef cattle. This product can be used in 3 different ways. You can sprinkle it in the (straw) hutch, pour it or spray it on the breeding places for flies. Places where flies prefer to sit are places with sufficient moisture, food and warmth. These are places such as manure, wet places under a water bowl and places with waste.

Dosages

The dosage per application is shown below:

Sprinkle: 500 grams per 20 m²
Watering: 500 grams per 20 liters of water per 20 m²
Spraying: 500 grams per 2 to 8 liters of water per 20 m² 
Repeat these doses between 6 and 8 weeks, or after cleaning out a hutch or single box.

Neporex is an effective remedy against maggots. To combat them even more effectively, we recommend Neporex to be used in combination with pesticides against adult flies.
