Agra Predatory mites contain predatory mites of the species Macrocheles robustulus. This species of predatory mite occurs naturally in Europe and is often found in the manure of various animals. Here it lives on the eggs and small larvae of flies. The Agra Predatory mites eat the eggs and newly hatched larvae of various species of flies, including the housefly (Musca domestica) and fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster). An adult Agra Predatory mite is a brown-colored predatory mite of approximately 0.6 to 0.8 millimeters in size. In a younger/smaller stage they are often lighter in color. Agra Predatory mites become active from about 12°C and can survive 3 to 4 weeks without food. One is possible per day Agra Predatory mites consume between 1 and 8 eggs. Agra Predatory mites are grown under laboratory conditions and are free of pathogens. Agra Predatory mites are an additional force in biological fly control. Because of his quick action Agra Predatory mites are an ideal helper for other natural enemies of, among others, the housefly. Other natural enemies are Agra Parasitic wasps and Agra Robber flies. Agra Parasitic wasps are used in stables with dry manure and Agra Robber flies in stables with liquid manure. The use of alone Agra Predatory mite control is not recommended because it does not lead to the desired result. But when other natural enemies are used and the fly population is larger than desired, a release can be avoided Agra Giving predatory mites extra power in biological fly control.
